It all started in a dark apartment

For several years, I lived in an apartment with almost no natural light. Summer or winter — it was always the same. Over time, I noticed it was directly affecting my energy, my motivation, and my mood.

I tried simple fixes first: switching lightbulbs, taking down the curtains... But the real turning point came when I decided to repaint my entire apartment white.

The result was remarkable. More light, and the rooms felt bigger — but even then, something was still missing.

That's when I started seriously exploring light therapy.

Here's the full story — and what finally made the difference.

Why this site exists

Before buying my first lamp, I spent hours comparing models. Tech specs, customer reviews, forums, tests...

A long, repetitive, and frankly exhausting process.

Then once I had my setup, my friends and family started asking me the same questions over and over:

  • Which lamp should I get?
  • Does light therapy actually work?
  • Lamp or glasses — which is better?
  • Does it really help with winter fatigue?

That's when I decided to create a website to answer these recurring questions and help people find the right product for their needs.

Today, I share only my personal experience, my real-world tests, and my honest conclusions.

The two solutions I use every day

After several months of research and hands-on use, I made a deliberate choice to keep things simple: only recommend products I actually use, rather than publishing yet another generic comparison. Just two concrete solutions. And don't worry — you don't need both, as that would be a significant expense. Depending on your situation, one will be more than enough! I'll help you figure out which light therapy product is right for you.

I used a lamp every morning for around 20 to 30 minutes, summer and winter alike. Read my full review: my complete Beurer lamp review

My light therapy glasses

More recently, I invested in light therapy glasses. And honestly, they've become one of the most useful things I own. I can use them while working, reading, or even on the go. If I had to pick just one product, it would be these glasses — no contest. Read my full review: my review of the light therapy glasses

Lamp or glasses: which one should you choose?

That's THE question I get asked most often.

Having used both, I've been able to observe their strengths and their respective limitations.
